Sooooo... How's everyone's quarantine going?

You'd think with all the doom and gloom in the news about how everyone is broke there would be tons of people begging to get rid of trucks, but it's not the case. Emailed a few now who are asking insane prices, and don't really care if they sell. A dealer emailed a BS price too, other dealers offering better pricing right on website.

Loves is putting in a stop about 2 miles from me. Pretty stupid because the only real access is from I-90 eastbound, and the west bound trucks using the place are just going to plug up a bad traffic situation even worse.

I’ve been chatting with a few owners 10 or less trucks that haul step deck, vans, reefers and they all have said freight is slowing up and loads are cheap. Time will tell if we see a pullback in equipment prices.

Hmmm...
The wife just came to me and asks how her eyebrows looked? She suddenly had the urge to pluck a few rouge hairs. I tell her that one side is definitely bigger/longer/hairier than the other. I can hear he in the bathroom laughing her ass off right now.
I believe that we both have been on quarantine a bit too long.

Want to make it more easier to quarantine yourself, shave your eyebrows off and paint your finger nails

Just read the local rag, tonight, the evening capital, AKA the crabwrapper. Hadda picture of the county executive wearin Major Margaret Houlihan's cheetah skin panties, as a CV mask... I'd post it, but can't find it on the net... Now that I think of it, maybe its too risque...:D

Are drivers in the US having a hard time getting a place to eat? Everything is closed here. Some drive thru restaurants won't serve walk thru truckers. Some places are getting the hint, no truckers, no goods, including food delivered. One woman in Nova Scotia that runs a little truck stop off the main highway is giving truckers free meals. They have to be take out, but they are big home cooked meals. The food is being donated to her by the locals.

I ll have to ask about the readiness of meals. I have seen people at fast food places literally standing in the drive thru or riding a bike. I would venture a guess that if a meal can be handed out thru the window and the customer has the $$$ to pay, most places won’t care about your mode of transportation.

That is if you went off those numbers if you flip them around the picture is more bleak.
See you are comparing those who are confirmed cases it's more of you need to look at if either one recovered or one died from it, not how many still have it.
So at
Deaths:
18,747
Recovered:
27,314
That equals about 68% chance of death at these current numbers in the US.

Your numbers are in no way accurate to the overall picture. You are quoting only the serious cases that required hospitalization and intensive care. Of them your 68 percent recovered. My numbers state the facts and just the facts. Of all the positive cases tested, most recovered with no hospitalization or medical intervention required. Many more would have tested positive and recovered but with limited testing supplies they were told to isolate at home unless their condition became dire.

No drive thrus here will serve walk ups. I've had to unhook my trailer to get through one. It's really stupid.

Didn't see anything mentioning serious, mild or no symptom cases but okay your right and you know more.

Not going to argue with you. Problem is they are not retesting these positive cases that required no medical treatment? Quarantined for two weeks and go about your business again. That's what folks are told to do here. All may still be on the list but they survived and are functioning as before.

I think if I was a trucker and on foot I would ask someone in a vehicle that is in line to purchase my order for me.
If someone asked me to do it I sure would.

Call me entitled but if I was a trucker who worked for a big trucking company i'd be saying i'm done working until there are places to eat, shower, and go to the bathroom. I think if a few big trucking companies said they had no drivers willing to drive because of that they'd open up places pretty quick.
