Not that I remember, but east of town Nendicks were and still are dragging in trucks just to have I think as hard to say what they had back then. The one I remember there blue and white used to be a tow truck and I am sure it was a 2 wheel drive.

C models as all Low Cab Forward models were hard enough to get in or out of, add 4x4 were a real PITA. UE had a few hundred of the LCF Ford GM and IH over the years, a very few were 4x4. Went to Rubber tracks on Tandems in the 80s on whatever model trucks they had, installed reverse so were as tractor tires moving in reverse, used the steers for rudders in the mud.
Similar to these but reversed tread pattern:

Used a Stainless steel Cable with capped ends to thread thru the split hinge, had to almost flatten tires to get them on.

One knows when your getting old when you remember these along a construction zone on the highway.

I can faintly recall riding with my dad on at least one occasion when he was refilling and lighting some of those at a road construction site.

Actually just recalled I have one sitting on shelf in garage:

Wonder what it's powered with.
All I can tell is it appears to be a four cylinder flat head gas engine. There is a logo of some kind on the block but can's make out what it is.

At leas the truck has the chains on so all set for where they are going in the snow! Just noticed that it looks like it might be up in B.C.
