First two pictures are Jim Falconers Kenworth Dump truck He gave it to Ron Roth and Ron replaced the engine and now uses truck around his property. Third picture is an Ex M&B Kelsey Bay Division truck. Was made into a ramp truck there, Then transferred to M&B Northwest Bay Division. Mostly sat there till it was sent to first R/B Auction in Chemainus. Sold to these guys, then resold again Finally went to Campbell River where it was sitting last time I saw her. Funny thing was at one time she was sold for as little as 11 thousand dollars, Might have been at the R/B auction

This last photo, the truck with the "M" on the rad shutters, was in an add for Kenworth years ago, as a kid I had cut it out of the truck logger magazine and put it in my scrap book, would have been around 1966-67.
Always wondered if I would see it again.

I have a question about the 848's. Does the frame width change with trucks running planetary axles? I read earlier in this thread that the frames were 34" wide. Also what pound front axle did they run with planetary rear axles? I found an 848 out on the desert and was curious about it. This one has a small cam Cummins and whats left of a coal dump bed I guess. The kids got to the windows and the gauges. Other than that it is in decent shape. Sorry about the picture quality. It was my old phone and the camera was poor. IMAG0201.jpg IMAG0200.jpg

I'm looking for one of these somewhere close as I would like to make a road change and lay out truck out of one.

Wow! Mooyah haven't heard that name in years. We lived in Mooyah bay in the mid to late 60s . Our dog was named Mooyah. I remember getting in trouble for playing on the flat booms. My sister has some super8 films of the log barges loading up in the bay . Thanks for jogging my memory Hoeguy .

Hey, that's the old truck that my dad and I used to own ! We had that truck in 83 at Camp A in Nimpkish hauling for Canfor ! John Foster bought it and still owns and it is still working today. I passed it on the Nimpkish main last year when I was working for HDLogging, it was pretty cool to see it again and to have a BS with the driver. Thank you for posting camptramp :) And yes it is the same truck
