Theres no seal under the pump where it meets the block.. just timing shims.. DONT lose them..!! {Very important.}
Your not gonna need a new washer under the solenoid.. unless you destroy the old one..
& even at that, you can pick thru the copper washers at the hardware store..
I would get a gasket scraper, go behind it & pop it away from the block.. even if its just alittle, you can spin it/thread it off then..
The control rack in the pump sticks from old fuel.. it gums up like tar..
You could drop it in a container {coffee can} of carb. cleaner.. & come back the next day & see if its free.
