We give blood on regular basis, and right now they really need it because some many are not. I'm leaning toward still doing it but think about what if I catch it after giving. I'm down a pint so now have less to fight it off.

A small suggestion for anyone that has had recent surgery.
The surgical nurse called yesterday to inform me that the appointment that I have for a follow up will require me to be tested before entering the hospital. Which considering everything that's happening seemed reasonable so I asked her if I should cancel and make a new one at a later date. She suggested I go to a mirror, take off my shirt and she would talk me through the same examination she would do. After about ten minutes and many questions and a couple pictures she said that all seemed good and to keep on doing everything the same. This saved me about 3 hours of driving and possibly a missed appointment anyway. So if you have a doctors appointment that isn't due to a new illness or injury this might work out for you.

Speaking of blood donation, here's a really interesting article: https://www.sciencealert.com/a-clas...-help-protect-against-coronavirus-experts-say

In a nutshell, donated blood from recently recovered victims contains antibodies, which may help in immunizing or treating others.

If I were to find myself in that position, I'd certainly be willing to give up a pint or two...

No shutdown here, but we've modified procedures severely. I anticipate a shutdown next week.

There's been hardly any traffic since this virus really got going.

If we do shut down, I'm headed for the mountains to work my side/hobby job for a while.

good article
I emailed the blood center and a Doctor called back. He says while your a bit weaker from the loss of blood, there is no issue with being worst off from it. So unless we get sick between now and Thursday we will be giving

Doctors lawyers and politicians, I can’t tell the difference in them.

Hey where is the 6 foot distance :)
Stopped by Total wine in Louisville today and at the registers they have tape marks every 6 feet so folks can see if they get to close

Where the heck is Jerry Springer? People fighting over toilet paper could overtake the WWF and wouldn't have to be rehearsed! Would give all us shut-ins some entertainment. Nobody would want to break it up because they'd want to stay 6' away. Speaking of which, the people in line look too close together.

What do pasta, paper towels and toilet paper have in common? They can all make a mess.

Not sure what is wrong with some people. I stopped in at local branch of a grocery chain store in out small town yesterday. Pretty well stocked from what I saw and only two people at one register and one lady ahead of me in the other line. The TP and paper towel aisle was a bit bare but any place I was looking was not bad. Maybe I just hit a slow time?
