May have answered my own question....my old man read the sight gage on the hydraulic reservoir wrong. It was a mere 15-qt low after purging the old fluid and adding new -- that's all, LOL. There was a smudge on the sight glass and he thought it was actually showing fluid. Sump is 42-qt. Good times!!

Nope. I'm just going to assume that putting the left hand control in the neutral position allows full flow to the aux hydro. I'm stunned the owner manual and the set of sealer shop manuals I have doesn't really cover how the aux hydro works.
