Got asked the other day if feared death. Startled me a moment then said nope. Had died twice on surgery tables and recovered, did not know died so why worry of something will not know have entered.
Think of life and death this way, do you remember what you had for breakfast 40 years ago on a certain particular date, I know the answer is no but you did do it. So with that in mind you could of lived life before on this planet or elsewhere, you just don't remember it and could be back again in different form in the future or somewhere else.
Time is only relevant to the living and energy cannot be created or destroyed which we are made up of energy. They say when you walk through the pearly gates of heaven you will visit family and be with them again, how would you know them if you can't even remember what you had for breakfast 40 years ago and some lose all memory before the end.
Morbid but true...

My view of life and death is pretty simple. No one has come back with any proof there is something beyond. If there is something past this life, it will be just another adventure in existence. If not, it won't matter. Nothing I can do about it anyway.

I see a lot religious people living this life for a better spot in the next. The greatest irony will be, if there is nothing else.

My other half isn’t religious but does believe in the afterlife. I keep telling her that she’s going to be awfully disappointed if there turns out to be nothing after passing down the tunnel…..

Today was post op visit to regular Eye Doc. All good, no infection noted, clarity is very good, quick test of capability 20/20 and could close read at 14". Inside of that blurry but knew would need detail work cheaters, did a performance test for distance in a projector station, I am estimated at 400' clear view. Do have a Ghosting effect, was told typical with the Multifocal lens, pick up a stray shadow from letter or patterns, brighter lights have a down and to the right twin. Told should pass but keeping a eye on this. Return Mar 9 for last post op and first post op of YAG surgery for Left to happen 3/3.

I was able to put a piece of lead in someone’s thinking cap as he was worshiping after shooting at us for few moments that pinned us down. Yeah, I guess Allah was to busy with his narcissistic ways right then ;)
That instance set my compass the direction it points in life now.

I personally ana not such a in good standing nor practicing Catholic. Still believe something greater than us made us know cannot prove it and do not feel a need for someone else notating I am a Bad Person and need to repent, $20 in cash box Please. We have a small shrine, Our Lady of Sorrows at Starkenburg MO, original Shrine is closet sized with a German transported Statue of the Virgin Mother a Heart of Jesus on her chest with seven daggers piercing it. Old original settlers here really had deep religious roots. Alongside the shrine is a small stone chapel, to our Lady of Starkenburg, prayer offered up there have had Miracles performed with subsequent placard of acknowledgment from the recipients posted all about the walls. The building itself was deconstructed in Germany, hauled to the US and reconstructed where now sits. To me a place of serenity and peace as I walked in. A larger church nearby is no no longer used, St Martins, it is on the Noted places of Historic Record of the US. Built by Franciscan Monks, architecture and all the inside statuary was constructed by or for them.

Scare myself at times, woke this morning, placed eye drops as will for remainder of next few weeks, looked in mirror and reflected have been extraordinarily blessed to have the repairs made over the last few years that worked without any truly endearing consequences. Know that at any juncture one will fail, will be a bad outcome but as to odds have been really good to date.

Not getting any younger, but at least you have a big heated toy box and stuff to keep yourself occupied (aside from all that doctoring crap) Don't know how many cats I've seen retire that have no hobby and sit atop a barstool for the rest of their days, not pretty.

I try to live this life like I was the other guy, might not be perfect but figure if I treat others as I would want to be treated that is what counts.

Me-I have a hard time taking anything too serious. I rarely find something or situation I can't poke fun at.
I get tired of all the adults doing a bad job of being adult. People spend so much time trying to be
perceived as serious/intelligent they loose sight of the goal.------------------------------------------------------
Just get through life on your own without everyone else carrying you every step, learn to laugh in the
face of despair and just maybe you won't have too many people lining up to **** on your grave.
