The speed control is a lever that controls the speed for the HST transmission. There is a resistant attached that feeds back to the controller. These have to be adjusted to specification I don't understand the settings in the service manual. I have contacted komatsu service I am waiting for there reply. If I can figure out how to send you the page in the service manual I would.
I am having an issue when I go over half the speed control it stops moving. It will start moving again after going back to neutral.

I think you are going to have to be a little more clear on your description of what is going on. What is the speed control? Is it a lever or dial that controls the engine? Or does it control the transmission?
Hello John I have a Komatsu D66S1 need some help on understanding the potentiometer adjustment numbers in the service manual. It states to get the reference voltage divide by 2=2.498. Output voltage for the speed control lever neutral position. 5Vdd+/-.03 (reference)stroke end .747Vdd +.09 -.03. What should my total voltage be for each?

I haven't had the pleasure of working on one of those machines so I'm at a loss for what you are troubleshooting. I'm guessing that you are talking about a "speed control lever neutral position." That doesn't tell me if it is a throttle control or a transmission control. I'm going to guess they are saying if the high end of the stroke shows .747 then the neutral position should be 0.37.
Hello John, I have a Komatsu PC90 that overheats after an hour. I have changed all cooling related parts. This has not improved it. I currently do have a leaking seal in the hydraulic pump that is causing me to drain the bellhousing daily. After reading your posts, I am wondering if this leaking seal is related to my engine overheating issue. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey John, sorry, I was limited on characters so my description is brief. I can post this somewhere else if it would be easier. Thank you!!!

Oil filling the damper case can make the case get hot enough to burn the paint off the case. It's likely that both the rear main seal on the engine and the hydraulic pump seals are leaking. Can you move this to the main forum and I can explain more?

Hello sir I have a Komatsu pc200lc-6, boom an bucket stall the engine. I get error code e215 on the monitor the power line is good i followed from controller to the 2 stage relief solenoid, I think the ground wire does not connect with the controller so is getting ground From somewhere else. Does this affect in any way the activation of the solenoid?

It's taken me a bit to figure out how to reply to this. I think those had three fittings under the boom directly on the bearing. Two were remotes with piping going each direction on the circle to fittings at equal thirds of the bearing. The middle one went right into the bearing.
Hey john I had some questions about a pc75uu2 I’m buying so you have any knowledge of them?

I haven't done much work to those. The didn't have the same computer systems in them. I don't recall if I had a code list for those machines. I think they had a plastic fuel tank in them under the cab so make sure you don't smell any diesel around or in the cab. To work on the engine you for the most part had to remove the counterweight.
Hey John, can you help me out with a PC300 that has no movements what so ever? Checked the safety solenoid, LS-EPC solenoids, and they are working. What could be the possible cause? P.S we've changed the pump and the same results.
Good evening John. Have you ever seen a pc150lc-6 with no tag at the base of the cab ? Not even holes where the rivits used to hold a tag. Strange. The only tag I can find is the one in my attachment inside the house.
Also I am replacing the Arm/Boom pin, bushings, seals & shims.
Good morning John. The question regarding my PC150lc-6 should be posted. I could see the Komatsu style quick couplings. Looking at the manifold from the compartment door there are 4 of them in a vertical line in the left vertical row. I believe it's the top 4.
John are you familiar with changing the pilot control pattern on a PC150LC-6 ? Trying to find out which 4 hoses to swap on the manifold. Thank you

I have a diagram and photos of the pilot control manifold that shows the standard position of the controls. The Dash 6 pilot lines had quick couplers so they are easy to change. Why don't you post your question on the forum and I'll put up the info for all to see.
