not sure. I assumed it was new. the owners have only had it a year and its got less than 2000 hours on it. maybe they bought it with super low hours.:beatsme

to be honest high horse US farm tractors only clock on average 400/500 hrs a year so it would be in line with being a 4 year old machine.

Started this thread a long time ago and never kept up on it. Figured I’d resurrect it with some work pictures. Didn’t have enough ceiling height to swing the engine out so I just lifted it, removed the pan, replaced the gasket and sat it back down. The last pic is how we refilled the cooling system.

I was following the operator into his machine when he spun out in front of me. I stopped and started sliding back down the hill. The ditch was more preferable than the bog at the bottom of the hill. My next truck will have a locking rear diff and room for tire chains.

I’m pretty sure a front differential is out of my budget. I’m heavy enough that I could go a lot of places if I just had a locker. My last truck at the dealership had a rear locker but it would automatically release at 15 mph. I’d get a small glimmer of hope of getting out when I’d hear the air release the locker and that’s where I’d be.

We had a first gen Honda Pilot with similar behavior. It was AWD up to about 35 MPH, then it would morph on out to FWD. I cursed this a few times.

I had a Honda that was like that i used on the farm. If you got the wheel spinning on take off it would be there but if you took of easy and didnt make it spin it would go about any were.Just backwareds of any thing i had ever driven.

Rear grab arms quit working. Operator started working on it. Another guy on the job told him to hurry up. He got mad and quit. That’s when I get the call. Chased a pile of hack job wiring repairs from the last 20? Years. Long story short, an electric cooling fan for the hydraulics seized up shorting out a breaker. The same breaker powers the electric switches on the joysticks and all the lights which have been all tied together with inline fuses. Left the fan unplugged since it’s cold as a mofo out, replaced the fried breaker and fixed a bunch of **** poor connections (wires twisted together) to get it going. When pro pac builds a delimber they tie the electrical power in however they feel like it so there is no schematic to go by. And almost no two machines are built alike.

Nothing too exciting here. Operator called and asked if I’d come up and replace some missing track pad bolts. He had about 40 bolts. I used them up and sent him back for another 100. Used up most of them replacing the missing bolts and bolts that wouldn’t tighten up. She’s due for an undercarriage. What does the rubber on top of the buncher boom do? Somewhat keep the smaller wood debri from building up in the boom?
