Not sure if I'm doing this correctly but I wonder if you would kindly send me a 40F manual, OFF?

Welcome bayousammy! If you make one more post, you'll be able to send me a private message with your email address in it. Then I will send you the manuals. No worries, the party never ends.

OFF, I'm unable to access your profile. I'm getting a message stating I'm not authorized to do so. I also tried right clicking but didn't get the correct menu - only got the "copy/paste" options

No, it's not over posting. You needed to have 3 posts to unlock the private message feature on this web site. You'll want to edit out your email address from you post. I've got your info, I'll send you the manuals as soon as I get home tonight.

There are always programs mining for email addresses, best not to leave them out on display :)

hi all, getting closer with my 40f got new engine installed , rebuilt lift cylinder but have had an issue with one valve being weak or slow I swapped I what I believe to be the main pressure relief valve from one valve bank to the other and my functions then worked as they should .. but also leaving the other valve bank weak. I have not found a part # in the manuals (still looking) anyone on here got any ideas on where to go for one or a part # there is one on each bank and one on the high drive I believe I have two that are bad ...I have tried to adjust them but doesn't change anything so any info on this would be great!

ssimps1972, have you tried taking one of the weak relief valve apart to look for a broken spring or dirt, or a leaking seat? Which functions are weak/not working?

The JLG part number for that pressure relief section of the valve you're showing is 7002301

Sure did didn't see anything that was obvious there is a spring steel retainer that I broke that would fit around the forth part in the image locking it into the second.
after I rebuilt my lift cylinder its still would not lift, the basket tilt and steer are on the same valve bank and barely moved. so I assumed I had a pressure problem. so I swapped the main relief form that bank to the swing ,telescope , and drive bank witch always worked well . then my lift ,steer ,basket tilt worked great. but swing telescope and drive don't want to function. as there are thee of the these valves I then swapped the one from the high drive valve to the swing bank and still don't have those functions if I put the original valve back in they work fine. so im assuming that I need to find a rebuild kit for these valves or a replacement. Thanks once again on the info OFF but I am unable to locate that number or a cross over number online as of yet if you know of a place id be all ears here is the serial number of my 40f 713884 and they are the racine valves. I think this is my almost my last step if I can get working valves all that is left is wiring in new joystick and ill be set work

thing is, that style of Racine valve was used by JLG all through the G, H, HA series. They should be fairly common. A 60H catalog shows that same valve section as #7002304

I can't tell from the pictures, is that relief section just a relief, or is it also the dump valve? (does it have a coil on it?) If it doesn't have a coil on it, that makes it a Racine #994436 for the entire relief valve section. Or a Racine #707869 for just the Relief Cartridge Assembly. It's called a "Racine 3/8" Externally Adjustable Series Relief Valve". See if you get anywhere with those numbers.

You've pretty much eliminated anything else as being the cause of your problem.

the line at the top is feed from the pump and the side line tees into the return at the bottom of the valve ....there is no solenoid on this block. hope that helps

Ok, those were the correct Racine part numbers then. Hopefully they lead you to something.

If not, you can always install another form of hydraulic relief valve. You could install it inline with that side port & the hose that tee's into the return. All that Racine stuff is rated for 3000 PSI by the way.

And you are very welcome.
