Have you heard: I woke up when my head kept hitting the wall? That's how I found Heavy Equipment forums.

I was headed towards that wall again Dealers and auctions and commercial websites were not telling me how to make an informed choice, I wanted badly to spend money and get a digger but common sense said look for professionals or at least some experienced opinions to make my choice. Been watching- reading awhile and hope I can add something too.

Thanks for asking, and even more, thanks for this forum.
I Googled "Hitachi Excavator EX 120" and a few other variations; scanned the numerous listings, found this on the second page (I think). I tend to move past the first few listed especially if they seem commercial. And user forums (fora?) are often the best sources of real information -- and though they can be time consuming, one learns more than hoped for.

I just typed case 580 b backhoe into bing and the site came up. I just purchase a case 580b and was looking for info. parts and any tech help I could get.

I am on Oz (Australia) & have been in the earth moving industry on & off over the last 20+ years both as mechanic & operator.

HI I WAS LOOKING FOE HELP FOR A CATERPILLAR 428C BACKHOE THAT I AM HAVEINF TROUBLE WITH hi i have a 428c back hoe with power shift and do not have any forward of reverse gears i have checked the fuse and it is ok and have used a solenoid tester and there is no power at the solenoid,s on the gear box could there be a short some where your help would be very grateful
