I have one nagging question, if y'awl don't mind. On the 8V71s and 8V92s equipped with dual stacks, the only models I have seen like that had a stack on each side. Why is it that with the 12V71s in the Hayes and pacifics, they routed them both to the passenger side?

I'm thinking it has to do with the offset cab.... but then again, I recall a lot of KW 848s set up that way also.

Marine Engineer,
One nice feature of having them over on the other side is you don't have as much noise in your ears all day.

And I don't mean to demean any of the others here who are incredibly knowledgeable too, but you're just a freak.

In the finest way of course. LOL

Thank you and.....

Give me a shout if you want me to help with scanning - as the IT manager at my office I am familiar with this sort of stuff - and my Hayes website can always use more content :). Speaking of help restoring a truck, a freind of mine has just purchased a 1971 HD (SN 4471), (he has a couple others that he would like the tickets for as well) he was wondering if I could contact you for the line tickets as he does not have internet access - he wants to ensure the truck is original when he restores it. Pics below (if I got uploading right) and appearing on www.hayestruckclub.org shortly...

pacific#1 Yes it is There will probably be a few trucks for sale there and then there will always be the trusty old cigarette package map with the treasure map on it and the old " X " the truck is right here" things also. There will be an old 65 KW with tilt hood and 318 there that needs a new home for low bucks and it sounds like something that might rattle your sabre However if you want a Pacific as per your handle there is at least two we know of

An HDX and a Clipper left to rust an hour from the Alberta border and 350kms south of Prince George BC.
Yarder unknown on the clipper although S# information is presented a few posts back.
And yes, that's me looking in the hood of the Clipper, I'm pretty proud of myself for showing such an interest in these rigs and giving them the respect they deserve at my young age.
