Have you checked your negative flow control lines going back from the main control valve to the pump. I would be looking for flappers on the inside and kinks from the outside
When the inside jacket of a hydraulic hose starts to skyve back, With sufficient oil flow it can block the passage. Very difficult to find very frustrating because you cannot see it. You almost have to measure at both sides of the hose to verify or just remove the hose and cutting open to see but then it's garbage
Take a Take a peek when you get a chance scroll down towards the bottom a little . It will illustrate what what I'm trying to explain a little more clearly
I wouldn't say it's common it's just that I've been burned a couple times in the past by missing them I refuse to let that happen again
Did you say you moved the prv solenoid from the old pump .
I would be checking the prv at this point ..it will make engine lug come and go. It could be contaminated. Ive seen where the prv will cause pump chatter. Put a gauge on it and do a sweep test and calibration.
ok mobiltech got new hoses made going install and see can figure out how do sweep and calibration this evening, man I sure thought was done, update new hoses installed, no change, at least took that off list,
Sweep done and calibration done, Took me longer to figure out how do it with Cat ET than it did to do it, no change, still chirping , go full function on joystick and hold or load hard, put throttle control on 3 and stick in and hold it barks go any higher on throttle gets real loud, lot of power, stretched out boom and bucket will lift machine right up in air,
Ok just for my education '''''what''''' is making noise? Sat on MCV and had wife set throttle at 4 and full retract stick then hold in and make chirp, it is coming from pump, so is it the shoes bouncing? Set throttle on 1 put boom down in front machine and boom down will raise machine all way no noise,
Noise is after stick in all the way in, correct?? No noise, while moving? What about if you run all the way out and hold, noise? Did you do throttle position 1 and move stick, what were results? Any noise with throttle 4 and boom all the way up? Sorry, your last update seemed to compare apples and oranges.
I'm wondering if you are hearing a snubber. At the end of stick travel at the piston end there is a little doo-dad that shuffles oil from barrel to rod and vice versa, but only at end of travel. You should see a noticeable yield as opposed to a harsh stop at end of travel. I don't know that your machine is equipped, but I wouldn't be surprised.
position 1 stick in/out all way chirps, position 4 boom all way up big chirp, this noise is exactly how it started before, seems to be functions when both pumps are needed ie stick/boom ( ps grew up in Naches wa.}
throttle control set on 5---stick retracted full in and hold stick in function full back it starts chirp, same with stick out or boom up, digging load stick or pick up heavy bucket full it chirps, this is what it did before and got worse quick till knocked shoe off--gets real real bad as you add throttle, sorry about the yellow gauge dropped it and lost oil so put some wifes olive oil in to make video
It almost looks like your relief is having a hard time. Instead of purging steady, its surging. If we had a flow meter in place , I think you would see surges in flow coming out of the pump consistent with the sound you're hearing. And when that noise comes in, yes, I think your slippers are losing contact with the swash plate.
Like it is holding 200-300lbs too much? Have heard of reliefs getting weaker but have not heard of one getting stronger, have you? Could it be sticking and taking more pressure to open? Gonna pull this morning and examine
