Did not ever care for lattice boom work, always a PITA for Cribbing, benches, trying to get load off pins then Sledge work on larger beasts to get pivot pins moving. Not much better on squirt booms when see that dribble of hydraulic dripping out of inside of mast knowing what comes next, another crane, on BOTH or Either.

The worst is pulling friction spiders, brake bands, drums and horizontal shafts. Reeving in the boom control drum is about the worst of changing line. Changing flat pad tracks was harder than any excavator chains and adjusting them is the pits.

Bearings frozen on shafts, brake bands fell apart, finding the lowest drum had shaft seals out and working in that grease quagmire as no access to a steam genny. And most times in a rock quarry buried in lime dust.

Memories no one should have to remember and few today can match.

120 Komatsu ,County machine had a engine fire that the engine wiring engine harness and part of trans harness got toasted along with sensors . Other bits county had already replaced to make sure it was still ok mechanically. Last pic is wiring cart and dumped out old wiring harnesses that work great for keeping the color codes the same.

Grove 865 had to pull the boom and unshuck the main section for some work on the back end of the first section in the middle of it the 670 P&H decided to take a dump and quit swinging pulled a 108 Linkbelt out to handle that end while the old MC30H Lorain was on the other end.
