Yair . . .
Gotcha
td25c
Mine uses Commercial brand gear pumps & motors .
Pretty much as I thought . . . and you can see where my dinosaur thoughts are headed?
And of course I know 'fuel efficiency' is why the manufacturers have gone to exotic (some say) fragile hydraulics . . . but the fact remains that simple robust machines like yours with basic hydraulics (that even I could troubleshoot and fix) can still pay their way . . . the question I posed up thread was how much difference in the real world does all the complexity and electronics make?
I might have mentioned an old bloke who had a gravel pit and modified a an 1220 Kato by mounting a lay-on-its side bus engine between the tracks driving a two section pump to run motors off a Linkbelt or something, I know he was running D6
tracks.
To reposition he'd swing the house around and access start/stop through a hole in the floor and steer with a couple of removable sticks . . . he never had any more problems with the rotary seal.
Cheers.
