In the photo below you will see the factory fender extensions used on the B75 and B73 models. There bolted to the cowl and bolted to the rear of the fenders, B61 models don't have these.
On the B61 the fenders are bolted directly to the bulkhead at bottom of cab. The fender extensions on the one i'm building will be 14" inches longer, The hood will still be a butterfly and
custom rolled out of 16 gauge material but the center hood hinge and support will be 2" wide instead of the 1" that Mack used. Plus it will be made of 10 gauge material. But everyone
needs to keep their shirt on because it's a long process to get to the end from here. Plus after the hood is made and fits well it has to go to a shop to have louvers pressed down the sides.
All of this has to be done in stages to make it work, when building custom vehicles it is a process from start to finish. Making mistakes costs time and money and at my age I can't afford either.
I just want it to rival anything on the east coast.
