Hey nice collection tugger2. Two 10b's and a 15b?My Insley isnt so shiny anymore, but its still hanging in there.
can you disengage the main clutch and run down through the gears? Or does it boom up when you do thatBoom has power down on mine . No torque convertor . All old school mechanical . Winch mainlines don't , all " feel" though the brake peddle when lowering a load . Ya get used to it after a few sets .
View attachment 179136 This 35 ton p&h I've been running doesn't have power down so I've been getting good at just using the brakes. I've found it's a lot easier to pull back the clutch leaver just a little to provide a little drag to help slow things down. It also helps to put your finger right on the drum to feel slight rotation for precision work View attachment 179135
Awesome picture. I've always wanted to run a backhoe and a shovel. That Lima 34 I work on has a shovel front but it's missing the sprocket that goes on the drum for the crowd. The previous owner scrapped it and was about to scrap the shovel front with itNothing like digging swing clearance with your counterweight.Pile driving is interesting challenging work. Just found some old pictures, heres my Insley in the mid 80 s when i first got it .I just had to have a crane so i took the backhoe off and bushwacked an old crane boom on to it. Now if i get time im going to put the back hoe on to it again.View attachment 179192
