Looks like one of Kip Brown Truckings' HDX rebuilds. Very nice and well thought out.
Bob J. Bob James has loaned us his photo's to share the first picture is of his HDX Hayes that he drove when he contract log haul at T.W. MacKenie at Mesachie Lake . This morning at coffee Bob was telling me how in 1965 he was working at Copper Canyon the crew bus left camp at 5:00 oclock but the shops quiting time was 4:00 oclock . The company log truck weren't allowed to take riders . Reg Smyth had contract log trucks in the Divison . Bob use to jump in with Regs drivers to get to Chemainus. One day he got a ride in a brand new HDX Hayes ( he still had a sparkle in his eye as he told us about it ) in 1975 he bought that same HDX Hayes which is in the picture with Bob on the pigeon roof .View attachment 116916
Another HDX under a lowbed, looks like that is the only thing it will pull seeing the back end cut off, old Page and Page lowbed looked pretty worn out, all the suspension bushing rubbers were falling out (sorry no pics)
HDX 45-115 s/n 5340 believe it's Olympics unit.
