Going to look at a Cat D4D 3304 engine, power shift, 6 way, angle is manual, winch. With from pictures would say 60-70% under carriage. Has input seal leaking on trans. What would be a fair offer on something like that?

Thanks Cory

You can find auction sold price results at Ritchie Bros and Auction Time and then compare those to Machinery Trader For Sale prices. Usually somewhere in between auction sold prices (the lower) and equipment still for sale (unsold asking prices) is the fair market price. Adjust pricing based on condition, additional fees (private seller with no tax and auction fees is much better), line haul costs, etc.

Bottom line: A fair price is one that you're comfortable with paying.
