Back together with the same cracked hubs or with replacement (non-cracked) ones..?Update: bad news
The shop cracked both hubs pressing them back on. They got it back together now but want to charge me $1800
Ok how about a different question. Im working on rebuilding my tilt cylinder. Got the shaft pulled out and working on taking off the big nut on the end, it is a 3 1/8" nut. It is stuck pretty good on there. I got the other end of the shaft pinned back to the machine so it cant spin. Can i heat that nut with a torch? It looks like it is a giant lock nut, i can see plastic in it on the end so i assume that will melt under the torch. Suggestions?
