I knew that Hough would start some discussion!
Guess I would say no worse than any other of the various engines. One of our plants had an H400 like the one in the picture, but without the big hitch set up on the back.Beat me to it and did not see yours til mine posted. Did you have good luck with the ones you worked, we had nothing but grief.
Yup, I wonder where the 992 is right now?I knew that Hough would start some discussion!
That's what we did today... turn the key and go. Flip a coin at crossroads. Saw some nice country.It wasn't raining but started after I got home. I didn't know I was heading that way until I turned the ignition switch.
Did you ever run a Hough that had the wishbone?I knew that Hough would start some discussion!
Did you ever run a Hough that had the wishbone?
Wishbone? I'm having a bad headache day today so can't think what the wishbone is? Had a few loaders I wish I never had to deal with at times!Did you ever run a Hough that had the wishbone?
I saw the late model cowl and the one piece windshield, but the hub didn't register. It was strange that it didn't have 6 spokes with double clamps like "LANA" had.One thing about Lampson Crane's--"MR. ED" big mover you guys didn't notice. I was waiting for someone to jump on it. Other than a Kenworth late model cab {It's built by Lampson}
Notice the front hub.

The bucket cylinder was mounted between the front of the loader and a wishbone between the loader arms. The bucket could roll over and the best way was to hook the bucket edge on some thing and back up other wise you could tear something up trying to get it back.I put a 855 400 in a 190 Hough to resale. I told the first guy about it and before i could stop him he blow i hose. Next guy to try it out i told him about it and gave a little demo on how to wright it if it happen he pulled the clevice off the cylinder.Wishbone? I'm having a bad headache day today so can't think what the wishbone is? Had a few loaders I wish I never had to deal with at times!
I agree with that, did it have planetaries?The frame and suspension on MR ED looks to be recently built not redone. I think this rig was from scratch possibly or sort of.
I think if you have 40 to 80 brake drums behind you, that's not a big issue.Not to mention no front brakes
