My dozer is being put back together. I brought them the radiator on Monday morning,that was expensive!!$2,640 but they had to sandblast the tank,new core ,should never give any problems .Todd, shop foreman said it's going together well. He said one head bolt streched torquing down, so he didn't want any issues with the head, replaced them all .Should get it real soon.

So you're dealing with the shop foreman now and not the ???? service manger... 2 thumbs up!! Sounds like things are going good for you finally and they are taking every precaution to make sure it's done right. I have feeling Cat came down on them hard to fix their mess.

do you know if corp cat is still keeping an eye on whats going on? and if the team that looked at the blown motor is giving any support with the rebuild and proper engine testing and break in? thats the most important before you get it back..

Don't know if they are watching what is going on!I would think that they would be involved being they spent the better part of the day assessing the machine!

Ziegler caterpillar called, said that it is ready to be delivered! Going to get it this week .They said that they ran it for a couple of hours outside again, checked each cylinder for temperature changes ,all seems ok. We will see what happens when I get it back, how it runs.

you should personally go to zeigler and run if for an hour or so under load and drive it around before delivery to make sure its running correct..and if they have a problem with that then something is not right..especially with the history of their repairs..

If everything is working properly open up the champagne and have a toast to HEF... and Cat for stepping up to the plate for you!

STILL.. NO dyno run?? Wow.. they must trust their work...{snicker}
I hope they at the least did a few converter and hydraulic stall tests to run it right up close to max temperature on both and then ran to cool it down and repeated a few times. If they painted the engine I would not let them hand it back to you if there was any paint left on the exhaust manifold. If they don't work it hard enough to burn off the paint it has not really been worked!
