A former business contact/friend has recently passed and the family is looking to downsize equipment. They have this older JLG manlift that did run, (propane) but has electrical "issues". It has set idle in this spot for years. I can't locate any identification tag on the machine but it is supposedly a 60' lift. It is 2WD and the tires are black and round with all holding air but needing replaced. An estimation on weight would be about 12k and they are looking for a decent offer to sale. I'm not looking to sale if acquired as I can use it in my business.
I took two loads of scrap across the scales last, and this week receiving $80.00 a ton but I would think this lift would be worth more than scrap value myself, but really have no experience in these type items. It would be a big help if I could identify which model this machine is. I don't know any JLG dealers but there are a couple of rental outfits in the area that have them so plan to research there also.
What would be thoughts on a fair value of this machine?
Thanks,
