It is a very very sad world that we are in Hard work does not cut it. Here in Canada one can not get good workers. Wednesday is wing night at the Pub so 3 or 4 guys do not come to work on Thursday, Thursday night a few other need practice drinking for Friday so they do not show up. Just what I hear from friend in the loop.

I'm just waiting/figuring the company I work will go bust. The overhead is just too much.

Sorry to hear that Hallback, you tried hard.

Hallback and TS, can relate as the current employer even if for only Five more working days is at odds on which road to take. He is considering 1) shutting down to Local only operation where can control to a limited extent what gets done and fuel cost controlled, 2) closing doors altogether should fuel hit $7 as that becomes the No Brainer cannot make enough to keep lights on and 3) selling out to someone that thinks they can do better then watching them collapse into that self destruction phase he can already see coming.

Autocars & Western Stars had one thing in common, the rails. Grade 10 or better. Obvious when
drilling for attachments. One reason Stars were a common log truck.
