Hi TorkelH, how's it going with your Thunderbird project, did you get a machine?

Who ended up with the TY-90 of Craig Carter's from Montesano?
Hello Sigurd! It's very hard to find machines for sale. I have been looking at a beautiful machine in northern California, very nice but price almost same as when new. At the same time it showed up couple of very inexpencive Norwegian built Owren yarders in BC, so I bought one of those and imported it back in May... I am in the progress of mounting it on a Volvo A25C articulated frame truck. I also hope to buy one additional Owren that is for sale and pair those two up with a John Deere 1470D harvester and 1710D forwarder. Hopefully I will be able to earn money enough on this so the next one (in a year or two) will be a Thunderbird!
Not a Thunderbird per se, but an older Kobelco running Thunderbird grapples. Hiett Logging, Skagit County, WA, 8/22/13.

That's a Komatsu
Those are both photos of 9042.
I have a bit more info on the Olsen / Skyline Harvesting TY90. It is obviously not 9048 if it was still on the Washington carrier a couple of months ago. The Olsen TY90 has been in NZ for about 15 years and was imported with no ID tag therefore the identity of this machine is unknown. It does still have the carrier tag which is A116. I assume this is a BU739 number so would have been BU739-A116. I could get the engine serial number if anyone has build records which for which we could track the machine by that method.
Here are some pics of the only TMY-50 that was put on tracks. I'll have to come back later with the serial number and delivery date. I cannot find my Thunderbird builders list copies right this second. The originals are in a safe location my Washington State residence.
Here is a better photo
