Did you happen to notice the two big rams and turntable on the back end This thing steered back there. Would have been interesting to see it in action. There is a mid-ship transfer case mounted in the middle also wonder how that worked with the rear steering and drive-shafts all inside the frame from the engine back to it. All hydraulic systems in it. Caught fire and did burn up at Jackson Bay with Dougan logging She was in their bone yard. I heard somewhere that john who built the challangers might have bought the two sets of planetaries out of it. Funny how we go to such great lengths to preserve our history. The two most interesting log hauling devices created This one and the Butler trucks Only thing left is a few scattered pictures and some dim memories of them.

Yes I did notice the rear rams..Appears to be all wheel drive...It would have been interesting to see the drive system and steering system.Anyone know what it had for power and what year it was built ??.
At least the axles where used in another interesting truck

My friend Roy was in Teck school in Nanaimo in 63-64 and they were building it. They went to Madill and he took a couple of pictures and does not know where they are. When he was there they had 1 of 2 engines installed as he remembers.

It doesn't look too bad. New cab, cab riser and R hand house guard. Probably some new gauges and controls. Maybe some new sections in the boom and gantry. If the main winch frame is bent or twisted tho it probably is parts. I've repaired ones that looked as bad as this right in the woods. d.d.

diamondtguy Well at least we know where the original H139 is now That is her pulling the lowbed. that is the sister truck to H14 and part of the 5 truck order that went to Franklin new in 89 I was told that Dave Dixon owned her but there she is!!! No doubt about it. Only difference is when new both of them came with 91,000 Clark rear ends and as we talked about H14 got the 121 diffs in Franklin and the H139 had hers installed at Hayes forest when they rebuilt her. The only thing they did was paint the exterior cab visor green and delete the light green stripe on the side of the hood. she looks really good there though. There is a side shot of her with the lowbed when the dirty deed happened and judging by the holes the rear wheels dug she was pulling like hell to get through the soft spot just before things went south. The push truck behind her looks very interesting also. Maybe getoan could post a few more pictures of their trucks up there
