Nice pics...The older P-16 (T332) sure has narrow bunks compared to the newer truck.

It has very narrow Bunks and notice the Preload legs are missing , if the Preload legs were still attached they would hang up on the tail frame of the truck when it made a tight turn , on a wide track truck . That trailer looks to be as narrow as the trailers on the Log Truck's at WFI Gordon River operation . I wonder if they were picked up at an Auction when WFI shut down in 1981 ?

That trailer might have been used at the train reload. The train car bunks are 10 feet wide

That is correct.

Lemare is sometimes required to haul logs to the train reloads. The load can only be the size that fit on the rail cars, so they have a couple of trailers set up for just that.

The red and white P16 in the picture above the two preload trucks #327 and 332 was ex M&B Cameron Division PreLoad truck H24 Kip White drove it for the most part pulling the low bed it till he retired. When Hayes Forest took us over they converted it to a conventional . It came with 1600X25 tires and 121 rear ends from the factory

A tandem steer pacific Hwy truck loading descent old growth fir. Sechelt trout lake area at my uncles old shake claim. This area is now current big fir park area I believe.
