they are not too hard to adjust. just a bit awkward. Lift the seat up and look inside, you should se two grey hydraulic cylinders. One on each side of the pumpstack. the cylinders have only one hose going to them as they are spring applied, Hydraulic released. The base end of the cyl. is fixed...

    Pressure in a Case chaincase?

Im not 100% sure on the case models but the New Holland models do not have any vents on the chain cases. they do build up a bit of pressure, but there is no ill effects from the pressure. Other than the odd bit of oil being sprayed at you when removing the plug. Hope this helps. Cheers

    LS170 starting issues

Zack6353, That capacitator has been known to break off on the the old style cluster. That tells me we are looking at a LS series unit or an older LX series. What model unit are we talking about? I am assuming the 5amp fuse is for the EIC, as per the back of the fuse panel cover. And yes I know...

    LS170 seatbelt issue

The Three wire harness for the safety system provide a power in which goes to the seat switch. From the seat switch two wires come off the switch. one goes to the connector then to your instrument cluster to light up the dash when you first hop in the skid. The other wire goes to your seat belt...

New Holland LS180..Need to know years when they were made

Take a look at the serial number. If it was made in the last few years you can tell by the second digit in the s/n. example: N7M450123 would be a 2007 N9M489987 would be 2009. If it has a s/n like LS180 239476 it is older than three years old. The new skids have the s/n plate on the...

    LS 170 new holland

Nomad, Sorry for the delay in responding, it has been a crazy week all around and have not had a chance to research t his problem. I have a couple of questions to make sure I am looking at the right schematic. First, does this unit have a EIC(dash) that has an arrow, book and does not require...

    LS 170 new holland

Thanks for the kind words. I understand what it is like to have a unit dead in the field and not knowing where to start looking for the problem. For this perticular problem, if I am correct, the dash display shows normal safety lights(seat/belt) and they function normally until you turn the key...

    Winter hydraulic oil

In cold temps, what you want to do is let the unit idle for a few mins, then increase RPM's a little once the engine is a little warmer. Then work the Hydraulics over relief intermittantly. "Relief" is when the hydraulic pressure relief valve is open and oil is going through the relief valve...

    LS170 starting issues

There are a few quick things to check first. 1. Make sure the service/run switch is in the run position. Key off. Now get in the machine. does the machine beep and does the display light up? If so, the wire from the seat to cluster is ok. If not then check the seat switch connector. one of...

    Caterpillar 216 Won't Start

Not overly familiar with Cat electrical, So forgive me if this is way off course. When the unit was shut down, were any AUX. functions left engaged? This will usually prevent a unit from starting even if all other safety systems are good. Have seen this happen when people are working an...

    LS 170 new holland

These NH machines are well built machines as are most brands. they are also no different than other brands, They all break down no matter what colour they are painted.(that's why I still have a job) NH has their fair share of electrical issues, but 95% of them are quite easy to diagnose with...

    LS 170 new holland

Tha sensor is in the back right corner of the machine. Raise and losk the booms in the air. Open the rear door, lift the top screen and remove the right side panel. Just below the hydraulic filter housing there is a brass fitting that should have a sensor threaded into it. The old senders had a...

    LS 170 new holland

Frogfarmer is right on about the sending units on these things. I posted the location of the sensor on the other thread, hope that helps you get your unit going. As for your NH dealer's not helping you out, I would hope that they are just not getting the right people talking to you. This issue...

    LS170 starting issues

On this unit, the likely cause of that light to flash is the sending unit failure. you can usually see a visible leak from the sensor, but not always. The sensor is located right beside the hydraulic oil filter housing at the back right corner. Lift and lock the booms in the raised position and...

    2006 Bobcat T190 04-14 Error Code

If you have changed the sending unit and it has the same symptoms as before, I would say the next thing do would be to put a guage in and check what kind of pressure you actually have. That will tell you where to go next in diagnosing the issue.

    Grease fittings problems

From my experience with Bobcat undercarriages, they have what "appears" to be two grease zerks at the base of the tensioning cylinder an each side. The one with the small ball in the centre is used to tighten your track while the other one is really a "bleeder" port. It is the one with the wide...
