    Case 1845C Chains

I'm thinking about trying to adjust the drive chains on my 2001 Case 1845C and was wondering if this something that the average person can do, or is it something that is better left to the dealer? Also does anyone have any idea what the dealer might charge to adjust them? Thanks

    1845c

I have a 1845C that has a little over 2000 hours on it, I replaced the hydro oil and filter about 15 hours ago. My problem is that the machine is a little on the jerky side when you go forward/reverse, turn etc, I don't hear the chains slapping around, so what could be the problem? Could the...

A friend of mine just bought a 2001 Case 1845C (just like the mine) from an auction (suppose to be from a divorce settlement) anyhow, it was previous owned by a small local paving company, I know this because it still has their company name on the lift arm. Type of oil in the chain case of 1845C

I know it's 10W30, but can I just use my local auto parts brand 10W30 or should I use the "No 1 Case 10W30"? I know the case brand has different API Service ratings on the 10W30 I put in my car, but does that make a difference since it's basically an oil bath for the chains? Thanks

    Very quick question about 1845C

I jacked the skid steer off the ground this morning to check the wheel bearings, and to my surprise the bearings are in good shape, but noticed while it was still jacked up that when you try to roll the wheel (which I knew it wouldn't roll cause the brake was on) it had what I would consider...

I'm new to skid steers and just bought a Case 1845C and I noticed that there are 4 chain case covers, but are there 4 separate chain cases or are there just a left and right? Also what would be the best solvent to use to clean the inside of the cases when doing a fluid change? Thanks

    Case 1845C

Two questions, first how difficult is it to replace pins in the lift arms and what is the best way to check them? Also the triangle shaped plates on the sides of the lift arm seem loose and make a lot of noise, is this normal? They seem tight, but I want to make sure. Thanks

    Case1845C chain adjustment

I just bought a late model 1845C, and I'm new to the world of skid-steers so I have a couple of questions. The machine has 1955 hours on it and it runs and looks great, but of course with it being used I'm going through and changing all the fluids/filters and basically just getting maintenance...
