    Well I wouldn't mind a 379 Pete with a big Cat motor, but the check book would. As for a solution we will just move one thing at time for now.

    The 7 speed is easy to shift I have more trouble with a 8LL.

    We are located in Greenville and it was the Highway Patrol that stoped us. The line in red is the only thing that makes me wonder. Our truck and trailer does take a over length permit to run but I see guys around here with the same trailer and long nosed Pete's hauling more than one thing and...

    We have always been able to haul more than one peice of equipment. But the other day we get stoped and are told that because we have a wide load permit that we are only alowed one piece of equipment.

    270,000mi and it already has a rebuild.:eek: Short wheel base means you don't haul as much or atleast here it does.

    Do you happen to know the total millage is also what kind of transmison does it have? A 14 foot body is awful short I would have atleast a 16 foot.

    We have a pair of Freightliner Classics that could give your Pete's a run for there money. But still you have some really nice looking trucks.

    What piece of equipment is the problem child in your fleet?

    A 1999 Blaw-Knox paver the thing has near about been in the shop every other week since we bought it new.

    Cat Loaders - IT28 Vs 928

    Cat loaders suck. The only loader we will buy now is a Volvo we have a 1997 (I think) and it has a 17,000hrs no problems ever.
