Is there any wild land fire dozer operators on here?
especially contract, any california, USFS, and BLM employees.

yea all that is in sothern california.
i beleive it is the same company that owns those 2 in the first pic. and same one in third pic.
i wish i had my camera one day in washington my captain had to climb ontop i think a 7 high track to cut a at least 26 in tree that was riding around on top the cab

Where's the brush guards(sweeps) over the front of the machine if there using them that much in the trees and brush????:usa

Good pictures. We had a grass lighting fire on the ranch one day, almost couldnt keep up with it in a dozer.

unfortunately dozers alone can barely ever keep up. or go in really rough country. but I guess fortunately cause that's y I have a job

Love the thread.... Keep posting the pictures. You can never have enough pics of dozers fighting flames.

Some of the D8K's in those pics look like Walsh dozers, but I am not positive.

Here are some pictures of a fire I was on last year. It burned 450 acres. 2 dozers, 1 helicopter, 1 bomber and various little red trucks running around.

I will have to unpack some of my pictures and scan some in to post.:usa

I am not a full time firepusher. But a few years back the flax straw plant had a fire get away on them and the local fire department hired our 8H to push bales out of the way. That tractor ran 85 hours straight in those few days just my cousin and I trading off and sleeping in fuel truck.
