Whats the difference between low horse and high horse Cat D339 engines?

I see a 1968 D339 parts engine on Kajiji up Edmonton way. I have a 1963 low horse. Are there any common parts between the two? The guy selling it said two cylinders are seized up due to exposer to the elements when head was off it sitting outside for a couple years. He also said block and crank are good. Who knows.... Just wondering if it would be worth picking it up for a spare to rebuild if there are the same. How do they get 20 more hp out of the high horse? Thanks

thats a low hp serial number
48A6883 up was when they changed from 160 up to 180hp.
