what kinf of trailer can move a house?

I'm trying to rescue an historic old house from demolition. What kind of trailer is needed to move it (32x32x29 frame home), and how much does one cost to rent, and where can one be rented? We have a friend who has an 18-wheeler and has, in the past, moved houses. Since he's in financial difficulty, I want to be sure I know the actual costs involved, etc.
Need answer asap as house has to be moved by April 1, 2012
Thanks for all assistance.

Name is Seth, worked with equipment, mostly excavators for about 10 yrs. I lack experience with trouble shooting and repair on heavy equipment and hope to use this website and the knowledgable members as a reference.

Hello, brand new, first time equipment owner. Just bought a 1996 case 580sl today. I have probably got about 3 or 4 hours of reading time on this forum and have found the information very valuable to my used backhoe search. I will post pictures once I get onto my computer and off of my phone. Thanks for the great site

Morning all

I found this site researching buckets on a 304 I just bought and am currently rehabbing. Currently have 2005 304cr, 2000 312BL, 2000 416CIT, 2000 Hyundai H70, 96 Rd 690s.

We handle everything from utility lines through land clearing, light demo upto 2 story. Started out as a landscape design and build, but the economy hear in good old new york has a socialistic government running it, so we expanded to everything we could since landscape work pretty much puked out in 08.

Hello, I'm a Landscape Contractor and recent Business Management and Economics college graduate. I found this site after I purchased my first backhoe and was Googling some parts an '86 Case 580 Super E. I would post a pic, but my posting rights are limited at this time. Does anyone know how I can get that changed?

Ahoy ye mates! Newbie on board!

Been with construction equipment dealerships for 4 years so far, initially got recorded as a part of mighty Product Support crew by CAT dealer in Russia (yep). A year ago got me ship painted blue :) but still keeping PS flag waving proudly.

Will stay quietly a bit and learn from any old salt in local tavern.
Yarrr!

Im a long time lurker, but I rarely post.

I started my excavation company about 7 years ago in Az. and up until the end of '11, thats where I was. Recently moved to the Houston Tx area and am re-starting my company in a much better local economy.

Had to turn down my 1st job ever earlier because I just dont have large enough equipment to handle it. Guess its time to step up from the 1 ton truck/dump trailer into an actual dump truck.

Been lurking for a few months here, guess I need a few posts to get validated before I can start or respond to main forum threads. I've been a sitework contractor for 20 years, had as many as 30 employees and as few as 1 - can't figure which extreme I prefer lol. Anyway, do it all from residential to commercial, clearing through paving, demo through hardscapes. I run Topcon gps, rover only, not machine control, and do a lot of CAD based surface models and takeoffs. Also run a total station, do most of my own layout. Look forward to learning from the experience of others, and hopefully I can contribute something useful one day soon.

New to this forum, but have enjoyed the threads. Some people are proud of their equipment and some as a little bitter, I guess it depends on how well you bought. I'm looking at the purchase of a new to me Case 590SM hope the crap shoot is in my favor. The last hoe I ran was 30 yrs ago, an old Allis Chambers, can't remember the model but it was the first extend a hoe in the area. Boy it was a beast. More slack and swing than would be allowed today. I was just a kid then but still remember the ether on a not so cold morning. Those were the days.

Now looking at developing an acreage and could use it for work now as well. Can't wait till I find the deal.

Hi Stock - I run a topcon hiperlite - its a fixed base and a rover - hands down the best money i ever spent. The base gets set on a control point and transmits-receives with the rover with real time positioning info, i load the plans into the handheld, as well as a surface model i make, and any points i calc, and then i start laying out starting from stripping limits all the way through finish grades at the end of the job. I would hate to go back to grids and tapes after using the gps.

Hi folks lots of good things here...I started driving log truck @16. When the industry pretty much disappeared in this area I moved on to heavy haul throughout Canada & US. Last 6 yrs spent working for a local construction co. really like it :tong ,so does my wife. (most of the time):D
