Welcome Tom have you tried your local John deere/ Hitachi dealer?

In 2004 Furukawa also spun off its Metal Smelting & Refining Division to set up Furukawa Metal & Resources Co., Ltd. In the process the company transferred stocks of Hitachi Furukawa Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. and the land, buildings and others leased for the factory of that company to the Hitachi Construction Machinery Group.[10]

Yep. Tried that already.

All I can say is am pretty happy that this is the first time I've had a need for an actual Furukawa part. This machine has never given me a lick of trouble and has just had general maintenance. It was only after the diff got torn up that one of the lift cylinders started to weep. It truly has been an amazingly low maintenance machine.

Hi All,
I am Charlie and work for CMX Global Logistics. Joined the forum due to wanting to learn as much as Machinery as possible, as I am new to the industry and find it very interesting. CMX is a international freight company that specialises in Heavy Equipment imports and Exports with offices in the USA, Australia and Europe. I am old to freight but since 90% of our business is shipping Heavy Equipment thought this would be a good forum for me to be a part of.

Terrazzo Installer By Profession. Restorationist

Hello, My name is Rob. I have worked around hydraulics and heavy Tow Equipment for the past 5 years. Currently I am a Union Bricklayer installing Terrazzo Floors. I know I know, nothing to do with heavy equipment. However, as A hobby I love to work on equipment. Forklifts, Hydraulics, Backhoes, anything Diesel and Interesting. I am more interested in the service and Restoration side of things. I take pride in my work and take every step possible to return to service. I also enjoy the preventive maintenance side of the equipment. I currently have two projects going. One is my Clark C500 C30 3000# Propane Lift with a leaking steering cyl. The other is my late 70's IH 3600A Backhoe. No forward or reverse. All other hydraulics working strong. It is a Hydrostatic drive. I am considering a tear down and restore on the whole machine. This forum looks great for knowledge, which is getting harder and harder to come by these days. Thanks and any suggestions, pointers and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Hi all just bought a 67 Case 580CK diesel powered backhoe. I hope to use it to help clear some trails on the 18.6 acres i bought in the UP. I've never owned any equipment like this b4. I've used skid-steers b4 and driven a large forked loader a few times but I know nothing much about diesels.I'm sure you'll be able to answer most if not all my questions thanks Mike

Hey wt85,

Welcome to HEF, I think you will find more than enough insight and information from the members. I don't want to sound too bitter but I hope there's work where you are or nearby, if not get back in school and earn a degree in a viable industry. Having said that, I wish you all the best in your new line of work, I know I have enjoyed every minute of my time at the controls. Growing up playing with Tonka toys it's quite an experience operating the real thing. I offer this piece of advice, save your money for a rainy day. I mean it too, we usually don't work when it's raining and here at least it can rain for weeks at a time. Again, welcome to HEF and good luck...
