Since nobody must ever work on Wacker RD11’s I hope this helps someone down the road. I Removed the exciter motor and found that the coupling that connects the exciter motor to the exciter was in many pieces, the exciter still turns freely as does the hydraulic motor, so I guess it just wore out since it’s only plastic. The funny thing is, the repair manual that tool king sent me makes no mention of the coupling at all, it just says if machine doesn’t vibrate, remove exciter motor, if exciter motor does not turn freely, replace, if exciter doesn’t turn freely, replace parts as needed....I did find and look in the machine over though that the hydraulic tank seems to smell like gasoline, which means, I’m sure somebody that “borrowed” the machine at some point must’ve dumped gas in the hydraulic tank instead of the gas tank on the side of the machine, so I bought a new hydraulic filter and will change that and the fluid while it’s in the garage. The manual calls for 10W30 AW hydraulic oil, I am having trouble locating that, anyone know if AW46 would work OK? I attached a pic of what’s left of the coupling...
