great pics trakloader and contract logger. I knew the island logging was big iron and wood, but good lord that is some heavy stuff. I am now convinced that vancover island is where logger heaven should be if isn't already.

I like the picture of the cable loader with one track 2-3' in the air lifting a log. And is it just my imagination or is that hitachi roadbuilder a 650?

That's all for today, I'll post more tomorrow. :)

Thank you for posting. Now, watch the numbers of people viewing these threads over the next few days, and the comments that will come from literally all over the globe. Makes the whole thing worth it in my view, just to show people back east who have never had the pleasure of working around these machines. Thank you from all of us for the time out of you day to post.

Great pictures even greater equipment I can't believe how big of loads they haul on those trucks. Man you lay one of those loads over on a curve you would have to go home and change your pants ! If you survived ! :( What amazes me is all the familys that were raised from jobs that were created and now mostly gone pretty darn sad .

On the wall at Madill's lunchroom in Nanaimo used to be a poster of an 044 with a rubber mtd 810 loading under it- both machines were yellow and white- I loved that pic!

Great 810 conversion pics here!!

Awesome pics. Some of the neatest I've seen (trackloader is right there, though, lol) of these machines new and shiny. Usually I see them old rusty and abandoned.
