Thanks DigDug...
This is one of those deals where a friend hooked me up and I got requested out of the hall.
We work 14 hours a day for 7 days then another crew comes in giving us 7 days off. The off time is when I work my " cash only" side gigs

Sunset Ave.

These are from some of the Union Pacific work I've done on my off time.
This particular job was on the Sunset underpass project in Las Vegas. It hauled 4 loaders, 1 blade and 2 H20 trucks from Indio in 7 days to get everything to that site. We worked 2 days , Saturday and Sunday to remove and lay the new temp line. It took me a week to move everything to Colton to a new job site.
One thing about RR work....they pay damned good money and have no problem spending it.

Rip Rap to Niland

Here's an old 88A that I loaded rip rap with. This is a strong machine with working a/c

Love the old 988. Those 87A's are a real workhorse. They have their problems for sure, but I miss my old one. It left for Mexico a few years back. Other than the never ending leaks, it was a good machine. Had the rock bucket, a little bigger than that one, and it was the machine to have for rip rap. I would take it over my 988B for sorting rock.

Fun driving?
At the time, the truck had no defroster, no heater, it didnt even have a heater core. We live in the desert. Why in the world would I need a heater? After this adventure, I installed a heater that would hard boil your eggs:stirthepot
