Hi to all,
For a 1” wire rope for both the main hoist and auxiliary hoist, am just wondering:
#1 is there a (manufacturer) recommended minimum turnback length and no of clips/u-bolt?
Actual turnback length is about 16”. Is this sufficient?
Does the general rigging guidelines for 1” wire rope requiring at least 26-inch turnback apply?
#2 the existing clips are installed so they are “straddling the dead end.” Should this be corrected and be the fastened the other way around (bolt on the live end side)? Pls confirm.
#3 the actual no of clips installed is as follows:
- main: 2 sets
- auxiliary: 1 set
Are these sufficient?
Or does the general rigging guidelines for 1” wire rope requiring at least 5-sets (for both main and auxiliary hoists) apply? Or are these sufficient?
