Plate Compactors - What to buy?

Most Allieds have welded bottom plates do they not? Rebuilt a few dozen of them and its not often I've seen one with a bolted bottom plate. Usually the older series - 9700, 9800 that are bolted from what I've seen.

Years ago I picked up a Kent 60 (backhoe sized) hoe pac for 750 at a RB sale in Boise. Used it for years, had it resealed and sold it for 2500 last year. There were 5 of them and I had the winning bid at that auction and should have taken all of them. I just bought a new Okada last year. It was like 8500.00 A lot for what it is, but you need it so you buy it.
