I guess she is from the 50's. I can't remember present owner - I think truck is operating around TahsisCool old Pacific no idea how old maybe some one could fill us in? bet she could tell some stories...
Trakloader Did we tweak the frame here or did she always list to Starboard???? Seen this when N/S mechanic jackknifed the trailer backing it up and cracked the comox hitch and never checked it out Just parked the truck Next day driver gets in and with his first load comes around a sharp corner and the trailer and load kind of depart the scene cause it was cracked all the way or most of the way around

That truck is SN T860-9, it's a 1948 model, and the 9th truck built. Had a Cummins NHB in it when it was new. Here's the line ticket: http://www.pacifictruckclub.org/Docs/tcbT860-9.pdf
Just curious do most of these places up in BC where you guys get all these great pics mind people walking in to take pictures if you get permission? Or do you have to be connected? Just wondering because one of these days I would like to wander up to the Island and look at some of these great places. Like Lemare Lake?
Most places are open to the public, and the rest you just ask someone.Or be like me know every one up here or have worked there one time or another. Its getting to be a smaller industry with fewer people in it now.
I have all ways asked for permission - (if I could find some to ask) I have only been refused a few times. This is actually how I met HDX (Mr. Hayes/Steve). Me and my son was passing through Port Alberni in the Summer of 2000, when I saw this beautiful green and black Hayes Clipper 100 parked in a backyard. I went up to front door. A lady opened the door(sorry I can't remember her name). I asked for permission to take pictures of the trucks in her backyard. "Go ahead" she said. She all most apologized that her husband was not home to show his trucks. I later learned that the owner is Vic Rowlinson. (I will post some pics of his great Hayes at Hayes site - he is great guy). Then she said I should meet Mr. Hayes. She made a call and 10 minutes later a Ford pickup with Hayes mudflaps. Steve jumped out of his truck with a big smile. He took my son and I on an unforgetable "Hayes tour" in the Port Alberni area and met a lot of great people. That was one of those days I'll never forget. Thanks Steve. Somehow that's why I love the Canadians - you feel so welcomed compare to some other places in the world. I feel Canada is my second country.:canadaJust curious do most of these places up in BC where you guys get all these great pics mind people walking in to take pictures if you get permission?
