Don't tell anyone. Everyone that has never seen me drive- thinks I might be a good driver. Its a good thing the cranes don't get over 50 except for the occasional steep hill. It masks my inadequacies.

1987 FLC Wheat farmer friend bought for 2,500. He put 10,000 into it. The one he wants
to lengthen the wheel base on. Truck is in good condition, BCIII 400 with a 15 spd over.
402 Eatons 3.36 ratio A/C everything works. Old W truck.

In todays world a 290 lb driver couldn't fit behind the wheel or hoist into the sleeper.
Would have cut back on the roller dogs. Although the air horns would be good for waking
the team driver. Propane and corn cob signal.

There were quite a few transfer trailer rigs in Texas back in the 80's. I believe our company had about 12 of them in their delivery fleet in the Dallas area. As I recall, all the ones in our area of Texas had some type of electric powered transfer box. I never did work with any though. The one in the photo seems way ahead of it's time.

Cook equipment trucks/trailers were built in California. California is where transfer dumps
originated. I saw them all over in 1968. It used a F-Series Ford cab and that one is circa 1951.

That's the oldest transfer trailer set up I've seen. Very cool.

1938 Federal only built this body/grille style two years 1937 and 1938, and only the 1938 model
Deluxe Cab had the sleeper. This one was used to verify mileages I expect because of the mileage
counter wheel.
