Larry Matkovich from Campbell river owns her. Larry has a timber sale in the nahmint valley They where going to haul off highway into the log dump on the darlin main but I.T. Changed there minds and the wood went over the hump instead. That truck and Larry’s other off highway trucks have been up the coast out of tofino were they usually work.

We were hauling out of the back end of the Ditidaht Village when they were clearing out some timber to extend the land for more homes. We hauled this all the way from NitNat Lake to China Creek Dryland Sort IMG_0075.JPG IMG_0077.JPG

The picture 075 just posted was the P16 that I posted the other day with the cab on the ground Unit#H275 What a shame to see such a nice truck reduced to that. What would cause anybody to do such a thing like that??

This was my old WHD Hayes 1966 model H229 Had a V12 N GM engine with a 8 speed Clark auto Trans behind it 90'000 Clark planetary rear ends. And a Johnson Bar beside the shift tower. had 8 forward speeds and 8 reverse speeds 13 foot wide logging bunks and a 50 ton Hayes trailer Truck would do 48 MPH. I have to tell you, Things happen pretty darn fast at those speeds IMG_0096.jpg PICT0077.jpg
