OK,Here we go. I was talking to a relative this evening and the topic of heavy equipment operators popped into the conversation. Now in the state of New Jersey you are going to have to be licensed to operate any type of equipment over so many pounds. There is a written exam and a practical skills exam. And the state will collect the monies. Also a drug screening is required prior to taking the tests. The equipment or owners of the equipment will not be able to get insurance unless the operators pass the written and practical skills tests. This is what happens when the government steps in. I am able to see there point but some operators may not be able to pass the written exam. Then they can be out of a job.Can you see what I am getting at? It just pisses me off so bad. Now suppose a small man like myself has a small mini excavator, say a John Deere 17. A person says they want some stumps cleared and a drainage ditch cleaned out.Now legally the state can stop him and order him to pay a hefty fine unless he has the certificate and the proof of insurance.OK, I am done rambling. This just pisses me off to know end. Could your state be next? Ken
