We got mosquitos down here. Everyone tells how bad they are but they aren’t a fraction of the nuisance that they are in Maine.

Is the block ok? I have a good local engine salvage place, and there's a large JD salvage yard in Clinton, Mo.
The block is okay but they told me the liners were beat up and should be replaced. I’ll see it next week.

Got that motor back together?
Not yet. Don’t know how much it will screw me in the long run but I claimed it on my liability insurance. They finally came out and looked at it. By the time we just get parts, it will cost the same as a short block. No damage on the top end so I can reuse the head. Plus as long as I use the magical Deere break in oil, it will have a Deere warranty. On top of all that we’ve decided to pull the plug down here and head back to the frozen north. It’s been an adventure down here but it isnt working out and we need to make a change.

Good for you. A lot of people are afraid to go out and stretch a little, I've always thought there's no harm in trying something different. Life is a adventure. Hoping to move before hot weather? or just see how the stars align with property etc?

I’ve never been afraid of an adventure. I had an opportunity to put my truck on in a mine in Montana but we opted not to do it. We’ve got a house in maine under contract and our place here is for sale. Probably will leave here late July once we close on the house. Work has been very slow here and I can go to work immediately once I get back up north.
