Having issues with our t870 2018 bobcat skidsteer. We got the track back on but the track won’t tighten. The tensioner fitting is less than a year old. Any ideas?

If you pump in 1/2 a tube of grease and the track does not move and it is not all leaking at the grease nipple, then you have piston seals gone on the track tensioner. Tracks off to fix.

This one is a hydraulic system with a relief valve you turn to loosen or tighten, does not use grease.

Sorry I assumed it was grease fed as I have fixed some others before. You will need schematics to find out what controls the oil flow then. Maybe you can Tee a feed line for the hydraulic cylinder to check how much pressure it is getting. Would be oil all over if leaking in my experience.

Haha no worries. Yea there’s no oil leak we can see and when we take the valve out there’s plenty of oil in the lines.

No idea what controls the pressure to the cylinder, maybe you can follow the line back. Have not seen the set-up you have . Maybe someone else will chime in.

To have to follow the torque spec exactly when you tighten the fitting. Have replaced several tightener cylinders and lots of fittings from guys over tightening when using just a standard ratchet. Pull the fitting completely out and se if you can see any distortion on the end of it and also check the mating surface inside the cylinder. If you send me the ser# I can look everything up for you if you want to send a pm
