The higher the strength concrete you use in the floor, the more abuse it can withstand. My shop with 4500 psi concrete will take noticeably more abuse than an older shop with 3000 psi concrete.

Sorry about the metric 35 mpa or 5000 psi. We can still order concrete by the yard here, but if you spec strenght in psi it seems you get silence on the other end of the phone.
