skadill The picture above of the Yellow HDX with the two blue stripes is ex M&B Copper Canyon unit number H57 Was bought by Frank DeIco from Nanaimo and after he did some work on it she was resold Never seen her since. That picture was taken in his yard in Wellington Shop is still there. If you look at the battery box It has a set of steps welded on the running board thus making it almost impossible to remove the batteries. Had a good look at her when he had her at Independent Diesel getting the engine checked out. Too many years ago

HD2014 Have not seen that old girl for a long time. She was a BCFP PreLoad truck cant remember her original number but her last unit number was a Fletcher Challenge unit 40-0107 Was up in the Campbell river area. Is she still a pre load or has she been changed to a conventional Cant tell by the pictures Thanks for sharing with us

HDX it's a self loading one with a winch not sure if it's the same style as when BCFP had it. It use to have a hydraulic 5th wheel but was cut out by the owner of it before. I have more pictures just having troubles posting them will keep trying thanks for the info on the truck HDX

Could it be the #6-237 a Renfrew truck or a Pit Lake truck ? Maybe #6-248 ?

HD2014; Great pics and thanx for sharing. Good to see she is going strong. Last time I saw her was in Courtenay 2005. In post #1865 it looks like another HDX with dump body beside 40-107. Difficult to see colors but looks like an old BCFP truck as well. Any Info on her?

Any idea what that well-preserved old Transtar in the background was used for? She looks a bit out of place in the Canadian woods.....

camptramp 6-239 became 40-108 and 6-238 had already been sold back when you guys were still BCFP so we know it was not her. She could well be 6-237. Truck has the Renfrew mirror bracket extensions but does not sport the drivers side step brace. Did notice that the original door had been replaced with another one as did the drivers side mirror post. That would explain why it didn't have the green stripe on the L/H mirror post half way up. Maybe HD2014 can come up with some numbers on her somewhere. You will be looking for a 6-### or a serial number. If you get a chance look on the frame behind the L/F steering tire Right around where the brake air line for the front wheel brakes comes through the frame. Stampped into the frame you will find some numbers If it is 6-237 it will be a seven digit number starting with 004 If it is 6-248 it will be a four digit number starting with 55. Now you have a mission As if you didn't have enough to do already LOL Thanks again for posting them

The #6-232 was the first self loading preload trailer at Renfew Div. it had the winch mounted between the frame behind the water tank . the #6-236 , #6-237 , #6-238 , #6-243 , #6-244 , #6-249 , #6-250 , #6-253 , were self loading preloading trailers with the winch mounted in the top of the water tank . Not sure which other BCFP trucks had winch mounted in water tank .
