Did the research. A Deere 750J sold in Illinois in July for $160,000. It was an LGP model with cab and all the bells and whistles. It could be a misprint or someone badly needed that machine soon. We don't know who bought it or where it went.
However if you do the rest of your home work you will see the markets for the last 365 days on Machinery Trader.
High/Low/Average North America Listings

Highest price found: US $160,000 US $230,000

Average w/out High & Low: US $109,167 US $132,214
The average dealer asking price for the same machine without the high and low is just 17% higher than the average auction price without the high and low. Dealers are in business to make a profit. Since we don't know what people of paid for a machine at a dealer, then that is not the market. The confirmed market is the auctions. Individual machines with other than average condition for that year model can be anywhere in those ranges that are presented.
kmfcap, you seem to be wanting to pick a fight about your perceptions of markets. In your first post you ask "is it me". From my point of view I think it is.
