Under $20K? That's a deal.

If you don't buy it I might.
I'm going to try to go look at it, I'll get the specs on it. I'm sure it has something wrong with it, but I won't know what until I look at it. It looks like the bed isn't mounted the best, but I doubt that's the real problem.

You probably would be better off with camelback or haulmaxx for a roll off truck, this is air ride which doesn't work great for roll off.

There's a language barrier going on also with the seller. But I'll let you know about it.

No doubt on the suspension however at that price it's worth buying to re-sell.

I'm sure there is some gremlin lurking in that truck for that price.

If it doesn't have a check engine light on, that will be a surprise.
If i was going to look at a truck I would take my scanner.
I'm betting it has had some kind of pirate weight loss program to the emissions system, and it looks like a christmas tree on the dash.

At $20,000, they aren't super cheap, but they are probably where problem trucks are priced. I can find just as many 5-10 year old trucks between $25-35,000 , as I can find late 80's to early 2000's trucks, in the same price range.

Its hard to want to give the same money for million to million and a half mile 1996 trucks, as I can give for 300,000 mile trucks that are 8 years old.

Going to look at this today. 2020 western star, 260,000, dd13, 10 speed manual, air ride. 18k steer. 40k rears with a lift axle. 28' steel flatbed, I'll take the conestega off. $35,000.

It's about 4' longer than what I really want, but making shorter is easier than making longer. It's about $5,000 more than I really want to spend, but it's pretty new and has most of my want list. Talked to the w Star dealer, no warranty claim after 2020. FROF16210C. Dd13, 450hp, 1650tq. 3.42 rears. We usually run 4.11 or more, but the 10 speed may be pretty slow in 1 and R.

Looks like 13.75 in R and 12.69 in (1)

Brought it back yesterday afternoon. It almost smells like a new truck.

Had steel racks bolted to the deck for hauling marble slabs. Going to have to build a headache rack, and add a lift axle behind the drives to get a little more bridge length.

Evidently the conestega front wall counts as a cab protection - who knew? I sure wouldn't want to risk the marble slabs being in the cab with me.

Turns shorter than I thought it would, considering the wheelbase. Quiet in the cab, interested to see how it does with a load on.

Congrats! Hope she serves you well.

Around here Star's are the choice for new vocational trucks. Tandems, tri's, mixers, lowboys, etc.

May have to go with some 425/385's up front if the mud causes problems with the 315's. Just as long as I get enough offset to not lose turning radius.

Couple of eww's - q tips and dental floss pick in the door side pocket. Bonus - paper tablet with a number for "Becky".

Found this in the floor compartment- gps tracker for fleet?

Going to have to find tow hook inserts for the front frame horns, are w star the same as Freightliner? Looks like round that pushes in and turns to lock.

WWW.
These are the standard for Western Star/Freightliner. To bad your not closer in this case,
because we run crash bars mounted in tow hook receptacle we have scads laying in a
pile.
