Now how about the rock guards

My 72 D5 is missing about 1" deep by 7" long just as it flattens out at the bottom, how bad is it?

Most people around here have done away with rock guards. Usually only the machines working in the woods have them.

It sounds like yours might have cracked and broke off on the bottom? It really doesn't hurt anything to leave it alone until you have to do something with the bottom rollers.
